“Now there must be a People’s Vote” – Slough Lib Dems

For months Slough Lib Dems have campaigned for a People's Vote on the final EU deal, with an option to Remain in the EU. This is the best and quickest way to end the Brexit chaos.

Back in October local Lib Dem campaigners like Matthew Taylor and Jo Hanney (pictured in Langley) found when they provided shoppers with an opportunity to have their say on Brexit, local residents strongly backed a People's Vote, with an option to Remain in the EU.

In Parliament, the Lib Dem MPs consistently press for the Brexit chaos to be ended in the quickest possible way. This is by having a People's Vote, and backing the option to Remain in the EU, because even if Parliament accepts Theresa May's deal there would still have to be years of negotiating new trade deals with the EU.

It's time for Parliament to let the people decide, now we know more about the damage Brexit is already doing to our economy, and the threats it poses for our security and the peace process in Ireland.
